The History

What is this charming old building?

Originally built in 1930 by the Odd Fellows - the first culturally diverse, working class fraternal organization in Portland.  Men from “every rank and station” did work in the name of “friendship, love and truth” here, as did the great women who subsequently bought the building and operated it as the North Star Ballroom, where people fell in love, raised money for good causes, and gathered as communities for the last several decades.
